For those of you who don't know the story behind that last Drew Neumann track, and the rest of the songs on "Industrial Post Mortem: China"...but here's some background...for those of you who don't know, Drew Neumann is a score composer...he's done the score for all of the Aeon Flux episodes, both new and old...and he did a lot of score work for the show "Ahhhhh! Real Monsters," including the opening theme. So his music is badass...but anyways...here's the story behind Industrial Post Mortem: China, from the words Tone Casualties.
"Karen Han is a classically trained Chinese musician and singer, playing (astonishingly) on Erhu. The Erhu is a traditional violin-like Chinese instrument, with only 2 strings. You can hear Karen's playing on several Riuichi Sakamoto soundtracks, like "The Last Emperor" and "Merry Christmas, Mr. Lawrence!" Her sound is drenched in ancient musical tradition, so we here at Tone Casualties thought it would be perfect for some high tech torture. We recorded Karen playing her instrument and sent the tapes out to some pioneering musicians in the post-modern field. These artists were encouraged to have the freedom to "do anything with it" - sample it, run it backwards, cut it up, add layers to it, etc. The results are a very diverse and haunting collection of musical ideas - presented here on this CD for your enjoyment. Hope you'll get a kick out of it." - Gabor Csupo
Oh man, this WWF reality tv shit is a riot. Tazz (big time ex-ECW wrestler from Brooklyn) is fucking laying into people and cussing them out when they fuck up. He's worse than army drill instructors, it's a riot.
Anyways. Dee Love seems to be hinting that I should stop blogging. Mainly with comments like "Break his fingers so he can't blog anymore" but I donno, maybe I'm reading too much into it. ;) Maybe I don't give a shit. You can't silence me, bitch! Muahahahahahahahah! Be afraid.
Alright. I'm going to work on uploading both versions of "Long Time Iguana, Yay! A Bong!" for you guys, so you can feel it's greatness too. Probably finish with that tonight, we'll see how that goes. But I'll link it when it's up. Keep it real.
