Alright, looks like this job lead may be a good thing. Now I get to go out and grab an application for it (it's a state position, and pretty much guarenteed work for a year. And if you do a good enough job for the year, they invite you back to the party next year, so we'll see...) It's has a damn nice salary range, so we'll see how this goes and whatnot.
